Highlighting&Coloring w/ Loreal Paris: Couleur Experte Express?

I'm about to use this kit I bought at a local drugstore. I've had experience with all over color, but not highlighting my own hair. I bought the shade Truffle, 5.1. And my hair is currently a dark brown.

Before jumping in, I have a few questions.

Is it okay to apply the bleach to random strands? (my hair is layered)

Will it be enough for my hair, my hair goes past my chest, it goes mid back.

And is it okay to dye my hair for example today, and then add it the highlights the next day?

Is it okay to highlight first, and then add the all over dye for a natural look, or will it not come out right?

Any suggestions?

I'm going from personal experience that one will not be enough for your hair. You can dye your hair on two different days as long as you don't mix the color up for the highlighter. Don't highlight first, the darker color will stick to the highlighted way too much.

Don't color with hairspray buildup. I've always used clean hair without anything in it I just didn't wash it that day. The loreal site has some good tips please check them out. I hope I helped in some way good luck.
