What color of highlights go well with black hair?

i've seen some girls doing the purple highlights thing and it looks cool. but i don't want to steal their style. therefore, what other color should i go for? i have natural black hair, straight, long, and layered :)What color of highlights go well with black hair?

If your lcomplex is light (fair) I would say Blond! Of your tan , do not use blonde go with carmel... but if ur punk funky...blue would rock!

I say if you actually have really for real black hair don't dye it at all. Black hair is gorgeous, maybe add some temporary dark blue highlights.

i think all strong colors will look good, like red.... blue.... for example............ I would try the blue.,..
