I think you should get highlights like 2 shades lighter than the color you have now. So, I would have a lightener put on with foils with a fine weave but close together. You will then have to have them toned ( you will probably lift to a brassy orange color- don't fret) with a 7ash or 7Natural and 7ash together. I think it would be beautiful with your skin tone and it will be noticeable but won't grow out crazy bad!!!
I have light brown hair too.... my hair stylist tends to like to put burgurndy highlights in my hair.... very pretty in the Autumn!
a few shades lighter than your hair colour or red-brown or hazel....but your hair colour is really pretty already and i wouldn't put highlights in if i were you. you'll regret it when they start growing out.

I think really thin highlights with like a dark cherry red color and a golden brown color would look really good on you
You don`t need any high lights...but you might want to get a really cool weave...maybe a really long and straight one...that would look really pretty on you!!!
