Highlighting color help...?

Im getting my hair highlighted and I need help with picking a color. Right now I have kind of faded red highlights and now that its summer blonde is coming in. I have brown hair. And I was wondering would black and red highlights look good in darkish brown hair? I have a bob hair style and its a little different than the picture. The bangs are shorter and the sides are just a little under my jaw. What colors should I do?

tell your stylist what you DONT want and have her suggest something. its something that theyre trained to do, shes probabley got a good eye for color. use it! or have her show you swatches of different colors she thinks would work with your base color and complexion. black and red highlights only really work on black hair. if you got it on normal brown hair it would look cheesy. Black and red is really dramatic, you wouldnt get mousy brown streaks in platinum blonde hair, youd get something that matches. black lowlights are REALLY harsh especially when paired with brown. Red is really hard to keep in, and it fades super fast. Youd have to get your whole hair dyed black and streaks bleached in to accomodate red. I dont think that red and black is a good idea for summer, or especially if you work some jobs wont let you have crazy dramatic hair and stuff.
