What color highlights?

me n my friends wanted to put highlights or dye our hair for the last day of school. but i would like a color i can live with until it comes out. what colors look good in short black hair if any?What color highlights?

Black is one of the few colors that can pull off purple and blue well. Red works too, though. Do something big, bold, and flashy! Go for it!
black hair- reds and mabye yellow


blonde- purples or pinks


brown- reds and purples
Dark blue if your hair is dark black. Dark red if you hair is medium black. It will shine in the sunlight.

Reddish highlights...they would blend nicely with your black hair.

anything in the warm tone, think reds. I love burgandy in black hair.
if you want to be subtle, a dark brown- like chocolates, or dark reds and purples work. if you want to be bold, dirty blondes and browner reds work, they still have the warmer tones to work with black.
I AM PLANNING ON DOING THIS TO BUT MY HAIR IS LONG AND BLACK BUT I AM GOING TO DO LIKE A BROWNISH...REDDISH......COLOR....so yeah hope that helps
A burgendy color highlight
red would be pretty cool with black if you like rock or r%26amp;b music that is like me:)
You are going to have a hard time getting any pretty colors out of black hair. Especially if it is dyed. If you like a lot of contrast platnium and black are always awesome. Black and any color pretty much go together. Black goes with anything.
A real dark brownish red,go for mostly brown
