i think you should lighten your hair up a bit before highlighting
You shoud leave your hair alone is looks great the way it is!
instead of highlights i would do a tint of red i am a hair dresser

i think it would compliment your skin tone very well :)
i think you should get like really light blonde, like really blonde and it would turn out darker with your hair but still light and blonde.. just dont do carmel/brownish, it turns out looking really gross on dark brown hair.
light brown or caramel highlights that will bring out you eyes and skin tone.
hey i'm not sure what color you want but my hair is about your color a bit lighter though and when i got my hair highlighted, even though my color was only one or two shades lighter it turned orange so i would definitely consider bleaching the hairs before highlighting! good luck!
