Funky colored highlights? easy question?

okay i've been wanting to add a couple of streaks of funky highlights, like blue or pink or purple or green, stuff like tht. but i was wondering if they faded , like turned white . and if u noe some hair dyes that dont fade easily can you give me the name or a picture would be nice. and if you have any tips on how to take care of them so they can last longer pelase share!

hi, they look good when you get them, but within a couple weeks they will fade to white/yellow/orange, because usually you have to bleach the parts of your hair that you would like to color, if you have dark hair.Funky colored highlights? easy question?
Any of those colours will fade in 2 or 3 weeks after putting them in so maybe go for one that isn't too light (in case it ends up looking bad and you want to dye it back to your origonal colour).
I think if you get highlights the hairdresser bleaches your hair first, so when the highlights fade it just goes blonde
its gonna fade just use the garnier shampoo for colored treated hair

Personally, I think you have a beautiful color already, but if you want to try something new, I think an all-over dark brown with honey or caramel colored highlights would look really good on you.What color highlights will match me??? (PICS)?????????????????
in my opinion, light brown will be perfect! (i looooove your hair!!!)
try a light brown, not a dark brown cuz i think it might go with ur hair color. but i recommend you ask your hair stylist which one would she/he recommend

If blonde highlights aren't ur thing, u might like some dark golden brown, or dark chocolate brown lowlights in your hair. Maybe a combo of both. Golden near the crown, chocolate on the bottom layers. That'd be pretty cool... get a color that goes good with your skin tone
white, If you want it darker, just wash the dye out earlier. If you want a different color like green, red, etc. then add it next.

i think u should get either a deep red or a daker brown! nothing too dramatic! and it will last till ur hair grows out but it could go away faster if ur out in the sun alot

It depends whether you do it yourself or go to a salon and do it. If you do it yourself it may last only around 1 month before fading; if you go to a salon it'll last longer

I would recommend getting auburn highlights, that would go very well I think.
The color highlights that would look best on you really depends on your skin color undertones.... your stylist can help you find a shade that is appropriate for your coloration. But in general I've always thought red or burgundy highlights looked really nice on dark hair.


As far as how long they last it depends on the type of dye that is used. Some is made to last only a specified number of washings, while permanent is just that, though it will fade over time. You'll have to get the permanent redone because of roots before it fades drastically if you take care of your hair.
Whatever you do, don't try to go blond or light brown...it will just get a hideous orange. I think you should go with a nice cinnamon or another dark red color....they won't get brassy. The length that they stay in depends on the color you use, shampoo, etc.
