Honey highlights would be best, but because your hair is so dark, I would recommend going to a salon and allowing them to highlight it for you there so that you do not wind up with orange highlights.








If you really can't afford that and do it at home grab Loreal's Chunking Kit, and watch the color to make sure you rinse after the orange phase has passed. A HUGE mistake alot of people make is rinsing before the color has fully developed, so ignore the box time and watch your hair, it rarely takes more than an 60-90 mins to get he highlighting color you will need.What color highlights would look good on my hair? red would look great the only problem is it fades away quicker then blondes and brunettes. if you go with a honey color it will make your hair look lighter. i had it put into my hair and my hair is much lighter. still i say go with red youll just need to touch-up them more often

i would say a auburn would look nice or a nice caramel color and i would get thin high lights/low lights instead of chunks because it looks more natural and blends more nicely :)
I have black/brown hair as well i like to mix it up i put blond, a Carmel color and sometimes i have her add a little red
kind of like a Burgundy or off deep red dark hair is cool in highlights of these colors.good luck
