Color highlights help?

im bored of having just one hair color, i want to streak my hair with another color, (just underneath so it peeks out). i have red hair, what color would look awesome?Color highlights help?
if you want something noticeable then go for blonde. they're just going to be peek a boo highlights, right? so then you might be able to pull of ANY shade of blonde, depending on what shade of red your hair is. if you want something more subtle, you can go for brown.


visit your stylist and talk to him/her about it. hair salons have really thick books of examples of the color they can do. it's like pieces of hair in the book like the sample hair u find under hair color boxes at drug store. you and your hairstylist can agree on a color and you'll get exactly what you wantColor highlights help?

well if it actually works on black hair it will most likely be brownish orange shade. but i don't really know for sure, and that's if it will even lift some of the black u already have.

if it works redish orange go to salon or call and ask one, but from my own experience, my hair dark brown almost black I put blonde hair dye before and got a carrot orange, took four times to get my hair blonde.
I don't think you can get noticeable highlights on black hair using only lemon juice. You could try a product like Sun In but you will still most likely get highlights that are more red than blonde.
you will either get no results at all (the most likely) other than dryer hair in the spots you put the lemon juice or at the very worst, your black hair could go orange-y. it's best to go to a pro to take your dark hair up. when it's this dark, it's tricky to do light, light highlights. besides, if you're going for blonde highlights, it won't look too natural. best to go to a professional colorist %26amp; s/he can determine the best shades for your hair color %26amp; skin tone...most likely a caramel..nothing too drastic.
uh i think it'll be blond/black or something like that but I'm not exactly sure.
Sorry to say but I think my friend did this and she is half-caste and hers came out orangey ginga. Try a tiny bit on a bit of hair no one will see or cut a tiny bit off and test it before you do it just incase.

Well I can't really see your hair that well in the picture but it looks kind of reddish/ brown? anyways I'd say you should DEFINATELY get blonde highlights. It would look so good with your color and make you look like a different person but in a good way :) I hvae blonde highlights and I love them.. You should probably get full because partial only gives you them like in the front of your face.. or if you only want a little get partial
