What color highlights should i get?(pics inside)?
does anyone have any suggestions on what color highlights i should get i'm thinking about playing up my hair a bit.

I think you could get highlights and lowlights and do them in small strands to make them look the most natural.... perhaps a medium golden blonde and a chocolate brown. when you go to your stylist ask to see the color swatches and actually pick the colors yourself and ask her how they will look. that is what i always do.What color highlights should i get?(pics inside)?
you should get blond and and caramel highlights, but make them thin not big! its gonna look so cute, i have the same hair color and i have those highlights and it looks good! so try blond and caramel!
i think you could use some blonde highlights that would go great with your whole look
oOoo i love your hair.. i think a shade of dark blonde would go well, thin highlights though, not thick...
dark honey or carmel color. that would look cute
A rich caramel, and possibly a darker brown would go good with your complexion. Really anything would look good on you, just dont get something that is too blonde, or red tinted.
go for a caramel color or a darker blond that will go really good with your whole look!
blondeee(:
Auburn is very pretty!
You should get some red streaks. Maybe burgundy. And add a lil' blonde streaks to it. I find girls with two/three/four tone hair as appealing. Just my opinion though hehe...windows xp sp

Honey highlights would be best, but because your hair is so dark, I would recommend going to a salon and allowing them to highlight it for you there so that you do not wind up with orange highlights.
If you really can't afford that and do it at home grab Loreal's Chunking Kit, and watch the color to make sure you rinse after the orange phase has passed. A HUGE mistake alot of people make is rinsing before the color has fully developed, so ignore the box time and watch your hair, it rarely takes more than an 60-90 mins to get he highlighting color you will need. What color highlights would look good on my hair? red would look great the only problem is it fades away quicker then blondes and brunettes. if you go with a honey color it will make your hair look lighter. i had it put into my hair and my hair is much lighter. still i say go with red youll just need to touch-up them more often
This would be super pretty!

i would say a auburn would look nice or a nice caramel color and i would get thin high lights/low lights instead of chunks because it looks more natural and blends more nicely :)
I have black/brown hair as well i like to mix it up i put blond, a Carmel color and sometimes i have her add a little red
kind of like a Burgundy or off deep red dark hair is cool in highlights of these colors.good luck
your hair would look cute with auburn/ or honey highlights.

I have black hair/dark dark brown hair. Should I get highlights? What color?
Sure! You should get highlights! I have dark brown hair and I think my highlights helped refresh my whole look.
Try to look at some pictures to see which one you like.
You can try slightly red highlights or a light brown. What ever works for you =]I have black hair/dark dark brown hair. Should I get highlights? What color?
get a level 6 golden brown highlight...tell a stylist and they will know what you want....dont use bleach...it will be orange and will look fake...red would look good to but is very expensive to maintain becasue red fade really fastI have black hair/dark dark brown hair. Should I get highlights? What color?
Yes but make sure they are only 1 or 2 shades lighter than your natural haircolor for a more natural look. Very dark hair can really get fried by the time it lightens to a blonde color.
My natural hair color is dark brown (chestnut) also, and highlightes in golden brown look very natural (1-2 shades lighter than my nature color with golden base).
Also, try to avoid ash based colors as it makes your hair look dull, red based highlightes do not last for long (turn orange after a week or 2).
DO NOT COLOR YOUR HAIR!! PEOPLE PAY TONS OF MONEY TO HAVE YOUR COLOR! YOU WILL THANK ME WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR 30'S IF YOU DO NOT COLOR OUR HAIR! I have never colored my hair and I get so many compliments because it is so healthy. I am 33. Trust me all my friends wish they would of never colored their hair.
I recently had my hair highlighted in an rich reddish brown and mousy blonde and it looks great with the dark brown. My hair dresser told me that it really depends on your skin type and if you want it to look natural or not.
The way that she did my hair it has a nice blend to it and it doesn't make me look to washed-out or overly fake. So my suggestion would be to stick to rich reds and blondes if you are light/fair skined and if you want to be brassy and bold go with a more brilliant red and richer gold highlights.
if your hair is real dark get honey highlights and golden dark brown low lights to set it off.

It's helpful to the answering parties if you post a picture of yourself. This is because face shape and skin tone do play a part in determining what hair color will look good.
Thanks. :D
